Meet the BUGS! At Chester Zoo

Opening on 13th July 2013, Chester Zoo has an amazing new exhibition of robotic giants including a stupendous 24 foot scorpion, an extra-large 10 foot ladybird and spiders that are anything but incy-wincy!  Check out the giant spider photo on the Zoo's Facebook page not for the faint hearted!

You'll meet thirteen super-size bugs in the Zoo's swarm, custom built by a top US animation studio.
And you’ll make some pretty amazing discoveries too. Like the fact that a dragonfly can fly at up to 35 miles per hour and a grasshopper can jump 20 times its own body length.
This giant-size exhibition will leave you absolutely buzzing so scurry over to Facebook or Twitter to keep up to date with all the latest Zoo news.
BUGS! opens 13th July until 3rd November. Entry is FREE with normal zoo admission.Visit the Chester Zoo website for more information.
If you don't fancy the bugs or doing the whole zoo you can just visit the free area opened as part of the Queens Jubilee where you can see the elephants, grab a drink at Cafe Bembe and access the gift shop - with free parking it's a great way to entertain the kids without blowing the budget!
